Introduction

Hello, my name is Briana Salter. I am originally from Las Vegas, NV. I lived there for 18 years, and after graduating high school I decided to move to Murray, KY with a friend. I have lived in Kentucky for seven years now and I can't imagine living anywhere else. My family still lives in Las Vegas, so I make trips out there when I can. I recently moved to Henderson, KY to attend college. I commute to USI where I am working my way into the Nursing Program. I stay pretty busy with school and work, but when I have some free time I enjoy running and cooking. I am in the process of learning how to crochet, so I can't count that as a hobby just yet! The last thing I do before bed is read a book, it helps to ease my mind. At the moment I am on the seventh Harry Potter book. I normally do not read much fiction, but this book definitely kept my interest. I read a lot of random books such as books on running and dog behavior, and I also buy and read more cookbooks than is necessary. As a writer, I feel fairly confidant. At times I may struggle with coming up with a worthy topic, and I may write a little more than is necessary, but overall I would call myself an "intermediate" writer, but there is definitely room for improvement! Hopefully by the end of this course I will have put in enough hard work that I will notice an advance in my writing abilities.
